"Ah, a forge! Now that's petty cool. I hadn't really thought about something like that being here!" Although it kinda seemed like a no brainer in hindsight. "I guess it hasn't been used in a very long time. Most people wouldn't take a knife to a gunfight, after all." Modern weapons were problematic for Powered Humans. It didn't mean much to have all kinds of Power at your disposal if you didn't have the armor to protect you from any random person with a firearm. "Armor is always useful, though."

"You'd be surprised. The last time this forge was used was when Runic wanted us to outfit his army with weapons and armor. Luckily it mostly went unused, since that war was nipped in the bud before it reached earth." Charcoal explained.
"You need to be a smithy as part of being a sage? I never knew." Aqua mentioned.
Aqueena shook her head. "You don't, actually. Most temples are outfitted with an automation that can build whats needed. Something like a robot or golem. I wouldn't know the first thing about crafting weapons, but I can enchant them. Thats simple."
"We have one here, but it didn't run things here. It worked along side Ignus." Charcoal looked like she had a longing expression on her face. "You should've seen Master Ignus when he was at the forge. He had such passion for it. On his home Terra, he was a blacksmith before he became Sage. Fire Human tools often had a better quality to them because of their heat control...The forge was about the only place he could escape the stress of the war and Runic."

Unfortunately, Jake had absolutely no expertise when it came to something like smithing. In fact, who even knew how to do that anymore? Wasn't that mostly a hobby nowadays? Well. There was one person that he knew of, but he was pretty sure he had never shared a word with him? I wonder if he'd be interested? But then again, I know very little about him and I'm sure he knows next to nothing about me. He'd have to shelf that idea for now. "Automation is very useful. I'm sure that most people haven't the slightest clue of the inner workings of smithing."

"I'm not very clear on how they were made, but apparently they were designed to mimic the skill and techniques of some master smithy from the time of the temples creation. If active, with commands, it can make a great deal of things with little input. Good for Sages who don't know it themselves." Charcoal said.
Aqueena nodded. "According to the records, the Master Smith was alive during the time of power being free, and forged many elemental tools. A lot of people belive he created many of the worlds earliest relics. Because of his skill, the Master Sage had apparently reached out to him to teach all the different Sages anotomations to create tools like he once did."

"Huh. That's pretty cool. A shame his legacy wasn't with a person. But I suppose it doesn't really matter who makes the weapons and armor at the end of the day." So long as it wasn't cheaply made, that is. Actually, he wondered just how noticeable the difference were been human made and machine made weapons and armor.

"Not a lot is documented on the Master Smith honestly, which is somewhat disappointing. Not much is known of him, yet his skill still has reach to today even. About the biggest collection of information on him we have is pretty much a manual on the forges and the other related mechanics to the forge like the machines. That and instructions on how to make his original tools and weapons. Though I must admit I've never looked to deeply into it." Aqueena explained.
"Honestly knowing less about him just makes me more curious..." Aqua looked around a little bit. "So is there anything left here that Ignus himself made? You spoke such nice things about his craft, I'd like to see for myself. Or if not, seeing something the machines made."
Charcoal paused for a moment, thinking about it. "Mostly everything that used to be here that wasn't sent to the Phantom Demons I had given to those in other Terra that visited the temple. I figured maybe if I could find smiths that could carry out Ignus' craft, it would be like a part of him lives on." She paused for another moment. "But...there was two things he did still have here. He made those specially, and never gave them out. They were to be gifts for his daughter, once he finally was free and could find her..." Granted Charcoal had already explained how when he went to find his family again, graves were all he found.

"Understandable. I'm sure they've been really useful for those who have needed them. Certainly better to hand them out rather than have them collecting dust here..." When Jake heard that the leftover items were for his daughter, he couldn't help but frown. Those were certainly items that he didn't really need to see. He wouldn't press Charcoal on their existence any more. "I'm sure she was always on his mind." Was all Jake could offer on the sad subject.

Like Jake, Aqua very must lost interest to see the weapons. They were special relics, meant for someone special. Symbols of a fathers love for his daughter...what a sight they must be. For Aqua though, the thought of such effort to be unseen by the person they were made for also made her sad. But it was life sometimes, and the lives of the Sages was clearly one with as many risks as hers and Jakes.
Charcoal nodded. "I just wish I could've been able to help him more. Then maybe things wouldn't have gotten to where they ended up..." She paused for a second. "Honestly, they are in the vault anyway, he'd never leave them here. Though they were beautiful..." She then shook herself out of her funk. "The last area is the core mechanism itself. Follow me." She then flew to the empty side of the room, with Aqua and Aqueena following. When they reached the empty area, Charocal's fingers glew, as she caused set parts of the floor to light up red, almost like putting in a code. The room began to shake a bit, as the floor opened up, and a large, strange looking device came out. In a glass like case, was a large glowing sphere of a orange, red, and yellow swirl of colors. Energy flowed outwards, into the corners of the case, as tube like objects seemed to transfer the energy elsewhere. The amount of energy Jake could feel from it wasn't unlike the Fire Elemental itself, pure, but not as everlasting as the Elemental. "I believe all Temples have things like these. This is the temples core, where all the energy comes from. Normally it sustains itself, but it is a Sage's job to make sure it flows properly."
Aqueena nodded. "They have a lot of power. Back in the day, it wasn't unheard of for battles to be waged to try and capture such energy sources for unsavory reasons."

"I'm surprised it's still here, with the temple being mostly abandoned. I guess falling until obscurity helped in this case..." Jake wondered how many people even knew about the temple cores. It was probably just Sages and the occasional assistant now. "It seems to be pretty powerful, from what I can gather." Jake wasn't as adept at Power reading as an Aura Human, but he could still tell that it was certainty not a trifle amount of Power backing it.

"Many that probably knew of such an object existing are no longer alive, I'd assume. Many of the raids that happened for these cores haven't happened over a thousand years on this Terra. With the Sages guarding them, and their reputation of world protectors works as a wonderful deterrent. The War of the Psychics was the last attempt on those temples cores, most likely because they all forgot they existed after that war." Aqueena explained.
"I recall more of those raids happening on Terra 1, judging by the records. At least until the sealing." Charcoal added.

"I'll keep it to myself, then. Personally, I don't really want anyone poking their head around here because they're interested in examining it..." Jake seemed to have someone in mind as he said that. It was probably a certain Light Human... The last thing he wanted was for his employer to spend more time with him at a different venue. "Anyway. I'm glad to have seen it. I'm sure very few people have."

Aqueena nodded. "Its better that way. We try to keep that kind of information in house, and to candidates only. The more people know, the more it spreads around. Though special cases like those in the World Savers can be made in the protection of them."

Jake thought about them, but really they had enough on their plates already so he didn't really see any need to tell them about it unless necessary. He then turned to Charcoal. "Uh. Well. Thanks for the impromptu tour of the place."

Charcoal had been caught up in the heat of things that she hadn't really thought much about this tour she took Jake on. She looked at the three of them as enemies when they showed up. "...It's nothing. If your considering being the next Sage, its the least I could do. To try and offer you more help than Ignus got."
Aqueena nodded. "Well its appreciated. I don't know much about the Fire Temple myself."

Ignus' timing in history had really ruined his tenure, hadn't it? There was nothing to be done about it now, unfortunately. "Assuming I go for this opportunity, I can only hope to not be a screw up. A lot of that is going to hinge on how helpful my assistants will continue to be, I wager..." he noted, insinuating something. Granted, that was up to her whether or not she wanted to keep up with the place under new management, so to speak.

Charcoal was able to understand what Jake was suggesting. "Well I don't have any commitments elsewhere. I've done this most of my existence, so I'm not sure what else I'd even do anyway. Last thing I'd want is to give the people Ignus cared about a harder time."

Jake smiled. "That's good to hear." By this time, Jake realized that things were winding down. He figured that they had intruded enough at this point. "I think we should be heading out soon." He noted to the present company.

Aqua nodded in agreement. "A good bits happened today, and there's a lot of things to consider. At least for Jake, anyway."
"Well if you both are ready to leave, I can take us back to the Water Temple site." Aqueena added. She then looked to Charcoal. "Unless you needed anything of us."
Charcoal shook her head. "I'm fine. If any of you need anything else of me, I'll be here. I don't have plans of going anywhere anytime soon."

"All right. We shall meet again, then." Jake said to Charcoal. After that, they were transported back, and they went their separate ways. There was a lot to think about. Becoming the Sage of Fire? It certainly wasn't something he'd have ever thought about on his own. Now, he'd have to seriously think about it... and his future.

After that parting of ways Aqua had returned with her sister. She debated in her own head how much she should inform her of what had been up, but part of her just wanted to keep busy. She knew Jake had a lot on his mind with the news he had gotten.
------------
Sometime later, Skylos had decided to follow up on the lead that Hawkings gave him, which was to check out a Bounty Hunters gathering spot on Terra 423. A bar called Sea's End.
When he arrived on the Terra, around sunset, he would've found himself in what looked like an old fashioned fishing village by the sea. The buildings had an older structure to them, the roads were made with stones and bricks while some were mostly dirt, and what people he saw seemed to dress somewhat more old fashioned compared to Terra 002. With an expansive country side surrounding most of the town, it felt like it was smack in the middle of nowhere. The few people that were out and about didn't seem alarmed by Skylos' appearance or entry, so it was likely power was public on this Terra.

Granted, they might not have noticed he was Powered. Skylos was here on reconnaissance, and as such, was attempting to not stick out like a sore thumb; his Aura was hidden. That being said, the dress here was a lot older than what Skylos was anticipating. While he didn't coming marching in with his spiked, white leather jacket or anything, he was still dressed modernly in a black leather jacket and dark blue denim pants. His leather boots would probably pass, but he was a little self conscience.
But that wasn't anything he couldn't fix.
A little bit of Light trickled out of him, trying to mask his clothing and pass it off as normal. Or, at least, what he could perceive as normal. There weren't many people to observe at this moment.
He wandered around the old Town for a bit. Could this really be the place? It seemed like an out of place... place. Well. Perhaps that's why it's here, after all. He made his way to his ultimate destination.

After some roaming around the small town, it wouldn't take much to find his destination. At this hour, a small town like this only had one active spot, which was the bar in question. An old fashioned hanging sign was extending from the building out into the road on the back street. Out of the way, but not the quietest place at this hour. There was a mix of sailors in the building, as well as...a number of strangely dressed characters. Well strangely dressed by this towns standards at least. Some looked pike typical bikers, some had power suits on, some didn't even look human at all, it seemed to very.

Skylos thought about things for a moment. The town appeared to be a façade... so it would be normal for there to be a lack of façades on the inside. Oddly enough, it would probably be more out of place to try and blend in at this point. Discreetly, he waved away his own illusion and made his way for the end of the bar. Time to get to work...

Not many people took notice of Skylos right away, it seemed his behavior was either considered normal around here, or they were just engrossed by their drinks too much to care. Skylos would likely feel some eyes on him, but considering he was apparently inside a popular bounty hunter hang out it would be only logical that some eyes would be trained on him. Though there was no one hostile yet. Once Skylos took his seat, the bar tender took notice of him pretty quickly. She had ginger colored hair, and green eyes. She looked to be in her late forties, dressed in blue jeans, a white tank top, and an opened plaid shirt made up of green and brown colors. "Hello there stranger, don't think I've seen you around before. What can I get ya?"

Skylos wasn't worried if anyone took notice of him. It's not like anyone knew which Skylos he was, assuming anyone knew of him or his counterparts. The barkeeper didn't seem to. He glanced over the top of his sunglasses with red eyes. "First time here." He said, terse. "What do you recommend with a high alcohol content?"

The bartender made note of Skylos' quick and short responses, and got the idea he wasn't a typical customer. Or rather, that he was her typical type of customer. She took note of his red eyes, which didn't confirm death related abilities, did suggest it as a possibility. "Well for your type, I think you could handle the Shadows Shade. It's a drink mixed with locally juices along with a considerable splash of Shadow Realm Ale. The Shadow Realm doesn't mess around with it's alcohol content, so I only recommend it for the sturdiest of livers."

Skylos bobbed his head slowly. "Jumping straight to the best? You sound like my kind of barkeep." He relaxed his posture. And cracked his neck. "Yeah. Sure. That'll do nicely..." A smirk appeared. "I've been told I have an impossible liver, so no need to worry yourself..."

The barkeep chuckled a bit at that. "My clients tend to not mess around, so I like to keep the drinks the same." She bent down to get what she needed and started mixing the order. "So what brings you to this neck of the woods? Escaping the city life for a bit, or are you from a little more out of town then that?" She asked. Skylos would probably get the impression that the question wasn't simply casual due to her emotions, but said in a honest enough tone that a unsuspecting person probably wouldn't think anything of it. After a bit of mixing, she then poured the drink into a glass for Skylos. The juice did a good job of hiding the over powering smell of the Shadow Ale, but Skylos was a pro, and could probably still tell it was there.

Skylos could tell that she was fishing for the correct information - that he was an off-worlder, or at the very least, a local hunter. Granted, he didn't need to mention he was only one of those. "Very far. You probadly wouldn't be able to find it on a map." He gave a light, knowing chuckle. "Been working here long?" He asked, making some small talk. He wouldn't be doing too much of that. It would be better to appear aloof to others. Friendly probably wouldn't work too well.

That told the barkeep all she needed to confirm. Unless it was the highly unlikely chance that he was just an off worlder that came to screw around in a backwater bar, which those odds were highly unlikely. She chuckled slightly, picking up on that. "Well we do get all kinds in here. By land, sea, or any number of ways." She then focused on his question. "I've been running this place since we opened. Moved to Gothel about 15 years ago and set up shop here. Seen a lot of different types come through those doors since then."
