In another Dimension, a plan is set in motion.
A cloaked figure stares at a monitor.
???: You told me I'd be going to their previous battle with Neon...what happened?!
Scientist: We miscalculated the trajectory. The timeline is slightly altered than that of our sister universe.
???: Well duh, no Dimension is ever the same...Hence the paradox theory. No big deal, I really could care less when I appear or who dies...just so long as I make "him" pay.
Scientist: I could recalibrate the projects so you would appear at that point.
???: And risk creating another damn Dimension? Hell no! There are enough Dimensions as it is...each time those "little heroes" win a battle against their foes, they create a world in which they failed. Thus adding to the suffering...as well as when they win or lose against their personal battles. Sigh, we have enough trouble as it is.
Scientist: Yes, I suppose so. In that case, do you want to cancel your little "trip"?
???: hardly, I'm going there to face "him", not see if i can help those fools. hmph, I'd like to be in and out without them even noticing.
Scientist: But what about this "new threat"...the last time they fought this other Ponic...
???: Again, not my concern. I'm not going there to help save their "great" earth, rather to free ours. If I can stop him here and now then he won't have the chance to make the choice of invading our world, Earth 2...thus there would never have been a paradox.
Scientist: Though in theory that would create another Dimension and thus not affect us.
???: No, that is wrong. True a new Dimension shall be created, but I'll be able to merge it with our own. Thus returning us to our original course of history.
Scientist: The earth of ancient times?? Can it really be brought back?!
???: Fool, up til a few years ago, it was real...but then "he" corrupted it and changed it into this...rewriting our past.
Scientist: You say this, but can not prove it.
???: Which is why I'm doing this. Sigh, why I do this to myself, I'll never know. Now then, why weren't we ready before?
Scientist: Although we know the existence of Earth 1, we do not know the exact point of time origin to which to send you to. It's like knowing you can hit an apple off a person's head with a blast, but you don't know how far away he is. By taking in the surroundings...
???: I'm emo, not ignorant. I know what you're talking about without your lengthy nothingness. OK, so the full moon helped how?
Scientist: You're lacking the sufficient power needed to make such a jump...even your final form pales in comparison to this power.
???: Duh, that's why I want to stop Neon before he gains the power to do this...well the chance to. Damn how I hate all this paradox talk, too much what ifs.
Scientist: So we're gonna use the power of obtained by the full moon to give you a jump-start -- a sort of elevated state if you will. However, it only will be able to get you there, coming back is another matter. And we don't know what it'll do to your powers.
???: I don't suppose another full moon....
The scientist shakes his head and looks grim. "No, not unless there was a similar instance..."
???: Must be referring to the mind trauma thing I read about.
Scientist: ...and you were back here to receive it. Remember, you are the key to universe hoping, not our power amplifiers.
???: On my own I see. Well, I suppose I can live with that...Hey, what about that Caleb guy? I mean theirs.
The scientist shakes head again. "He's detained at the moment. As for Danlay's realm friend, he's back on his home world."
The mystery man twitches at the mention of Danlay's name. "...Well it's for the best, his friend would have complicated matters. As it is, I have to explain to my counterpart about his powers...and return a certain something to him."
Scientist: You...explain to him...??? Return something?!
???: Normally they say a mind is a terrible thing to waste, but I doubt they were referring to someone like you, without a brain.
The scientist ignores the insult. "Yes, well now...you don't mind being stuck there with them? Although you have mastered the first two forms and can go into the third under dire circumstances, you aren't all that more powerful than that medieval realm guy, Arthur."
???: I'd like to think that I am stronger than him.
Scientist: Still, you may...
???: ...be asked to step in for him while he's away and I'm there? Ya, I already considered that. Hmph, I suppose I could humor them and "pitch in" while I wait for his return. Sigh, I'm really going against my personality...I'm acting more like my former self...eerie.
Scientist: "OK then, get down there..." He motions to a platform below them. "...and open the portal. I don't know what it'll do to you...or if there's even enough power. You may want to wait..."
???: I've waited too long for this moment...and as the saying goes, "It's now or never."
Scientist: Very well. Good luck.
???: Oh, can you give me all the data relating to this Evil Ponic person...if I know his next move, this will go a whole lot quicker.
Scientist: Sorry, but our sister Dimension hasn't made it that far yet...or never will. In any case, it's still dealing with Neon.
???: Figures...
The mysterious person grabs hold of the two handles located on either side of him and lets his power flow into them. Along with the power from the full moon, a portal begins to form in front of him. When it becomes as stable as possible, he is sucked through.
Scientist: Please make it...you're our last hope.

Back on Earth.
Abby stares out her bedroom window at the stars. "Where are you Danlay? I miss you so much." Her window rattles as a bright light momentarily blinds her.
Abby: "Ahh...what-what was that?!" She blinks as she sees a figure falling from the sky and land somewhere just beyond her view. "What in the world?!" she questions what she just saw and decides that she must have drifted off for a sec so she returns to her bed and goes to sleep.
Later...
Danlay decides to pay a visit to Abby, unknowing of the strange visitor. Danlay walks up the steps. "Strange...I hear noises like an argument...but her parents are still away...hmm, this is weird..." Danlay opens the door to...
???: This isn't his place...Why on Earth did I land here? Those good for nothing quacks...They told me this is where he was...The middle of nowhere!?
Danlay: Um, may I help you?
???: Hmm, so you live here?
Danlay: Not exactly...you?
???: I think we can skip the chit-chat, we both know the other doesn't belong in this house...So, who are you?
Danlay: Normally the intruder is the one to answer that first.
???: Heh, touché...very well, my name is Gromus. I've come here to see a certain someone.
Danlay: Wow, quite the mystery man, eh? Name's Danlay...and you're in the Lockhart house.
Gromus's eyes widen and he's speechless.
Danlay: Hmm? You know the Lockharts?
Gromus curses his momentarily loss of face. "Errr, no...I once knew someone by that name, but that was a long time ago."
Danlay: Oh, I see. Well in any case...
Gromus: So, are you, by chance Danlay ____? [Editor's note: If I ever find Danlay's last name, I'll put it in that blank.]
Danlay blinks. "Why yes I am...why do you ask?"
Gromus: I have come baring information for you.
Danlay: I find that hard to believe...I don't remember you.
Gromus: Oh give me a break, you really think only a person from your past knows about your powers...don't think so small. Sheesh, you are amazing. Well then, with that attitude, I need to test your worth.
Danlay: Eh? I beg your pardon?
Gromus rolls his eyes. "Does the concept of testing not apply here? We will spar...if you beat me, I shall tell you what I know. If you lose, I retain the information and leave you with the regret that you could have done more to save this world of yours...this Earth.
Danlay: His attitude sucks....though it seems more cold, than rude...I wonder what his past is. And that use of "this Earth" is odd...Oh well. Fine. Where and when?
Gromus: There's a field south of here...Five minutes.
Danlay: Sure, let me just...
They both turn and see the doorknob turn and a familiar face walks through.
Danlay: Shit...this is bad. I've gotta do something...
Abby: Huh? What...What is...?
Danlay: Um, Abby...why don't you wait outside, while I finish up in here?
Gromus had stopped listening after her name was mentioned. Abby, that brought a memory to him that shook his very core. "Abby...Abby Lockart? No...it cant be..." he was shaking and looking quite the opposite of his original appearance. "You...you..."
Abby: Huh? Do we know each other?
Gromus attempts to regain his composure. "Um....no. Another life perhaps, but not anymore." He still seemed shaken.
Danlay: OK...that was eerie. So then, lets go.
Gromus: "Gladly." He vanishes.
Danlay: "OK, see ya when I get back Abby." He vanishes as well.
Abby: Er, OK...I guess.
