[Ralph's Character] [Fourth Thread] [5/29/09] [Page 391] [Post #11719]
Beside the monkey-man stood another, also supremely ignorant of the inhospitable conditions this altitude had to offer. He was of short to medium height, maybe 5'7", and dressed in a long, black robe, trimmed with white bands, as well as a tall, black scarf which extended up to his nose and a wide-brimmed sun hat. This entire outfit was being buffeted by the wind, although the man payed this no heed. On his feet he had a plain pair of sandles and in his hand he was carrying a plain white feather fan, which he was also swaying slightly in the strong gale. What could be seen of the man's face was sharp, with an intelligent look to it, but also light and fairly carefree. As the monkey-man spoke, the other man grinned at him through the fabric of his scarf. "You'd sleep the universe away if you could, Wukong," he teased. "At least you should get some excitement here; this is where the big splash is going to come when all Hell breaks loose." He winked, relishing his own pun.
