[Wendy's character] [Fourth Thread]
[3/23/09] [Page 262] [Starting at post #7831]
A teenage boy stumbled through the forest near the cabin. Nearly tripping every few steps, he made his way closer to the cabin. He didn't know where he was heading. Quite frankly, he was lost. His brown, scruffy hair obstructed the vision of his bright green eyes every time he stumbled. His jeans were near bare at the knees by now, and his brown jacket blended in nicely with the dirt that was stuck to it. His glasses twinkled every time they hit sunlight that broke through the leafy ceiling above.
Masamune happened to be out and about in the woods at this point. In fact, he was leaning against a tree having a smoke. It was a habit he'd picked up a little recently, although he was hardly on twenty-a-day yet. Still, this meant he noticed the newcoming teenage boy as he stumbled his way to who knew where. "Hey, kid!" he called out as he noticed him. "You alright?"
When Masamune called out to him, the boy was surprised and he tripped again, falling down almost on his face. He rolled over and sat up and looked up at Masamune, a look of terror still stretched out all over his face. "Wh-who're you? You're not with him are you?" He was backed up against an opposite tree. His eyes looked slightly bigger than they already were widened behind his glasses.
Masamune just raised an eyebrow. "Eh? With who?" he asked, then held up his hands in a peaceable manner. "Look, I'm not going to hurt you if that's what you think." He took a few steady steps over to the boy and held out one hand in an amicable manner. "Date Masamune. You, kid?"
He watched Masamune closer as he stepped forward and peered at the hand uncertainly. He figured he'd gotten far enough away by now. How could they have followed him all the way out here. And anyway, he did need to do something. He couldn't just keep wandering in strange territory like he'd been doing. He took the hand timidly and stood up. He looked down, unsure if he should give out his name. He wondered if he was considered a fugitive now? He simply shook his head. "I don't think I should. Not yet... I... ran away from somewhere..."
Masamune snorted. "I'm not going to turn you over to anyone, you know," he told the boy dryly, but withdrew the hand and didn't press the matter, taking another drag instead. "Anyway. I take it if you won't tell me your name you won't tell me what you're doing here either, so I'll just skip to the next question: need a place to stay?" He glanced over the boy once more. "Or some new clothes, for that matter?"
He looked down at his clothes at this point and noticed Masamune's point. He blushed slightly. "Uhh, yes, yes. Both would be much appreciated, thank you, uhh.. Masa, uhh.." Masamune really does not have a very memorable name does he?
Masamune rolled his eyes and repeated his name slightly more slowly for the boy's benefit. "But yeah, don't mention it," he went on after that. "What first? Clothes, or something to eat?"
The boy put his hand on his stomach. "^^; Food would be nice. I, uh, haven't eaten in two days." If this were a world of anime characters (which most kind of are ;P) there would be a nice BIG sweatdrop on the side of his forehead right now. He walked along side Masamune. Eventually along the way he figured it wouldn't hurt to tell Masamune his first name. "It's Trevor." He produced a faint grin and kept walking.
