Jake was certainly concerned over Aqua's wellbeing, but that weird turtle thing was still in front of them. He wondered if stopping to have a chat was a good idea or not. "Aqua, you're overcharged. You've gotta be careful..." Jake was a lot older than them, and he had read many reports over the years about this. It never ended well. Kavisto had pretty much come to the conclusion that something was inherently wrong with Elemental Power on that level.

"I'm not entirely sure how I feel right now..." Aqua said in response to Trevor. Then what Maura said caught her somewhat off guard. She didn't need to fight alone anymore? She had been doing that so long in her mind because she didn't want to be a burden to anyone, so it was weird hearing someone else say that, even if people still told her otherwise. Aqua wasn't properly processing emotions right now, mostly due to her still being in a fight or flight mode, but also this form...was handling her thoughts and emotions differently. "I've never used this power before, but I don't feel trapped or anything...I feel in more control than ever, actually." But then she suddenly looked to Giga, who was now entirely livid.
"ENOUGH OF THIS!" Giga yelled, as a dome shaped blast erupted from his body, blasting the fist away. Giga then at this point properly noticed the rest of the group arrive. "Oh, and it's you fuckers too. Fantastic...Don't count on stupid humans to do a darken's job!" Giga's aura spiked back up, as his body looked like a black smoke like aura was coming from it. "The kid gloves are off...I'm killing all of you myself!" Giga's arms morphed into cannons, and fired two massive beams of chaos darkness at the four of them. It might not have been magma or electricity in terms of effectiveness on the body, but it was far more powerful then the mutants they were facing in the lab basement. It helped put Giga into perspective, Giga normally never went all out, as he enjoyed the thrill of the battle and manipulation of weak peoples emotions. Combat, mentally or physically, was always a game for him because he always felt stronger then his opponents. But this was different, Giga actually felt threatened by Aqua's new level of power, which he'd never seen in a simple powered human before. But since he almost never gets this serious it was hard to tell if this was a good thing, or a very very bad one.
Aqua reactively used her powers to move everyone out of the attack zone, but they would need to handle counter attacks themselves.
-----------
By this point, Magmore had reached the underground tunnels under the city and sewers. This wasn't a place the group often ever found themselves in, but it was a place the criminal underground used often in the city. It used to be the remains of a long forgotten city, but was burred hundreds of years ago. The Kavisto group would probably more than likely know of this place, but probably also found little reason to be here either. Magmore was using his body's natural glow to see in the dark, as he searched around the area. "Where...is that blasted transport?...They should have one stashed around here..."

Jake wanted to dissuade Aqua some more from being so reckless, but Giga had suddenly exhibited a second wind, so he would have to talk with her privately later. Flames were already in Jake's hands, so he let out a powerful flamethrower of green as soon as he saw that Giga was attacking them. This flamethrower was wider than normal to compensate for having to hit two beams at once. It wouldn't be as strong as normal as a result, but he was using it defensively so that his comrades could get a hit in without because made into swiss cheese.
The sound of Earth shifting interrupted Magmore's thoughts as someone else broke through from above. A slicked-back red-headed male wearing a pair of sunglasses on his face had tunneled down after Magmore using Earth. He was wearing an unzipped brown leather jacket with a green shirt underneath. "And where do you think you're going?" He inquired with a somewhat low voice.

Magmore turned to this newcomer, trying to size him up. "You damn powered humans are like bugs under a rock, aren't you? Kick the rock, and they all come out." Magmore was weaker than he was about 5 minutes ago fighting the main group, but he wasn't entirely powerless yet. "Who are you anyway? Another of Kavisto's lapdogs?"

The redhead took off his sunglasses and revealed that he had blue eyes. "Lapdog? How amusing." He gave a small laugh. "Aren't you the lapdog? Following someone else's orders blindly...injecting yourself with something that dubious for them? Yeah. No. I'm not here doing Kavisto's bidding. I'm here because people like you need to be put on a leash and shoved in windowless cell for the rest of eternity." He cracked his knuckles. Cracking sounds could be heard as the tunnel's make-up started to shift slightly. A sharp stake of Earth suddenly broke from the wall to the left of Magmore, attempting to impale him from the side. "The name is Gaia, by the way."

Magmore narrowed his eyes, as he suddenly sensed the stake shot at him. He touched it, as it began to melt into magma. While not natural, Magmore could sense power as well as it formed. Though for him it was more of a reflex than something he was doing since unlike Electrode, Magmore had little testing with his form. "Blindly? Hah! I developed this personally. It's the next step in human evolution. Arming humans with the might to stand up to invaders such as yourselves!" Magmore then extended his hand, as fire shot out towards Gaia, thought as it traveled it would also branch out to strike the walls as well. "You powered types have been squatting in this world for far too long. It's time you were forced back out!"

"Then you're even stupider than I thought." Gaia noted dryly. "Willingly making yourself that way? It's not evolution if it's not natural." Gaia noted the fire coming around for him. He stomped the ground and spikes of Earth grew around the field. Much of the fire would probably hit those instead of the walls. If possible, he didn't want the room to become an oven. "I hate to break it to you, but Powered Humans have existed since normal ones have. They didn't just appear out of nowhere one day." Gaia slid his left foot on the ground and had grains of sand collect in the air around him. They hung in the air, waiting for something.

Maura still felt unsettled, and she had a bad feeling about what had happened to Aqua while they were separated. Aqua wasn't really letting onto anything, but considering what they'd walked in on - precisely how Aqua had attacked Giga, and the fact that she'd clearly been pushed into this Pure Human form.. obviously a lot had happened.
Since they'd all been moved to safety and had a brief moment, Maura turned to Jake and asked, "The Pure Human report, you were around when that happened right? Did they say they felt more in control, or like they were out of control?" She wanted to know what to make of Aqua's last statement about feeling in control of her Powers. [Maura waited for Jake to reply before doing/saying anything else]
"Aqua, don't overexert yourself, let us take on the brunt of it, okay?" (Hopefully she wouldn't regret saying that).
Maura shot into the air so she was as tall as Giga, and began manipulating the air around them. First, she encased herself in a ball of strong winds to act as a shield against any attacks he might throw her way, since she couldn't afford to have her concentration broken. Once that was in place, she turned her focus to Giga. Maura had only ever heard of this move once, back in her mother's tribe, in one of the old stories. She thought it about it from time to time, but had never attempted it before. Maura closed her eyes, focused on the breath entering & exiting her own body as she breathed, and then extended her senses to sense all the air moving around them -- every breeze, and every breath, of all the beings in this vicinity.
[** Content Warning: potential breathing difficulties are detailed -- Wendy do not read this section **]
Then she looked directly at Giga, and something in her gaze hardened. She honed her senses in on Giga's breath & the air surrounding him specifically. She felt how the air was sucked in through his nose, through the windpipe, into his lungs. She felt the changed air get forced out, back the way it came. She counted the breaths, timing it, and then when she was ready, "grabbed hold" of that wispy tendril of breath escaping his lips & nose, and started spinning it around. A light breeze began spinning around Giga, picking up speed. Every time he breathed out, she gained more control, attempting to take the breaths away faster and more forcefully. Due to the wind spinning around, he would likely start to feel that it was getting harder to really take in a full, satisfying lungful of air. If this continued, he would likely start feeling like his breathing was becoming very shallow, and find it more and difficult to breathe in. [1/X]

Thankful for Jake's quick assistance to block the Chaos Darkness beams, Trevor took the opening to attack. To him, it made the most sense to try to subdue Giga and pin him down to a spot so that Aqua could make ample use of her current Pure state and deliver a blow that clearly none of them would be able to deliver. Earth was naturally defensive anyway!
Trevor placed himself in a good position where he could easily dodge around as needed, and he began to make the earth under Giga go soft. Not all the way at the surface yet, though, so Giga wouldn't be able to feel it. Then, when it was ready, he broke the surface open suddenly and Giga (with all of his weight) would hopefully fall right into the mud Trevor had made!! If he did, he would then harden the mud, too, trapping Giga still and surrounded by earth!

Jake's flames would be a match for Giga for now, since Jake was back to full power, and Giga was not due to Aqua's retaliation. This might have been a win for Giga by the end, but Trevor's mud trap interrupted Giga for a moment. Then Maura began to snatch up Giga's air, which was actually proved effective for the moment! Giga didn't really require air fully, being a mostly energy based foe that had even been in space, but he still did breathe so the attack was still proving harmful since he needed to heal from it. Sure he'd just keep healing back from the damage, but that was a strain in of itself. These attacks stopped Giga's as he was actively being choaked by power, which he hadn't directly encountered before, so he wasn't sure right off what to do. Aqua vanished at this point, but then rose up out of the mud behind Giga, looking like a mud monster as she leaned into his ear. "See Giga? Game isn't nearly as fun when you aren't the one in control, is it?!" Mud covered water spikes started stabbing through Giga that was trapped under the mud, but Giga couldn't yell because of Maura. "You think you're so tough because you can cripple people before you even fight them. That doesn't make you strong, it makes you coward. Is the 'great' Giga so afraid to actually lose, that you need to rig the battle before it even starts?" Then in front of the mud pit formed a large tendril of gel water with a sawblade formed at the end of it, beginning to spin. Aqua then brought it to Giga's neck, who still could not move. "Well guess what? I've taken every beating you've given me, endured all your torture, and I'm still here." Aqua then brought the blade to his neck, and began to slice through! "Never wound what you can't kill Giga!" Aqua said, looking downright psycho in her purple eyes.
Giga was enduring his pain from both Aqua and Maura, as his head was nearly entirely detached. But cutting through his windpipe actually was a bit of a mistake, as Giga no longer was breathing normally. Giga's body glowed, as power seemed to be pulled in, but ejected out with extreme force! This forced all the attacks back, as Giga pulled himself out of the mud and ice spikes. He then put his head back as it began to repair itself. He just glared at Aqua, who stared back with little emotion. What the fuck?...Where is the hell did she get like this?! The fuck is an Elemental?! Giga didn't even taunt Aqua back, and he suddenly started to spin in his shell, launching off his spikes towards everyone. They glowed with power, so if they didn't impale, they would explode with powerful chaos darkness.
----------
As the fire struck the spikes in the walls, as well as the ones Gaia used to block the attack directly at him. The heat would begin to melt them into magma, which Magmore would then send into Gaia to attack him directly. "We may be humans, but we aren't so foolish as to believe you don't have your own worlds. Our reports show dozens of worlds, yet you all decide to live like god's among the powerless. And your kind claim you want to live as equals?! Bah!" Though Magmore wouldn't know a number of those worlds were dead worlds. It's why the Elementals lived in this realm or some demon realms, their races were pretty much immigrants.

"From what I read, they always claim they're fine but they're really not. You can ask Kavisto about it later." Jake noted to Maura. Now wasn't really a good time to be having a conversation. Giga was unleashing some pretty deadly stuff! Jake decided to try and be defensive again; it seems like the others were doing well so long as they had clear skies. Rather than using a flamethrower barrier, he elected to punch out a fury of Fireballs to collide with the spikes. He didn't know they'd explode on impact, so he was quite relieved that they were exploding within the air instead of right in front of them.
The sand that had been hanging in the air suddenly coalesced into barriers to stop the magma. Gaia had already set this up, because Magmore was incredibly predictable, and quite honestly, an amateur. "Remarkably empty Realms of ruins and the like." Gaia then noted to Magmore. Apparently, he knew quite a bit on that subject. Consider Magmore educated, now. "Most of them were destroyed centuries ago. Don't be so arrogant to think that your Realm is the only one that is bombarded with destruction." Gaia gave a light snort. "In fact, you should feel gratitude for it being protected by those that have lost their homes permanently." His eyes narrowed with disgust. "Instead, you aim to wipe out those very protectors..." The sand hardened from the magma until it became super-dense spikes. Still able to control it as his own, he flung the dozens of magma-hardened Sand Spikes straight at Magmore. It was hard to tell if Gaia had been ordered to take prisoners or not.

"..they always claim they're fine but they're really not." Jake's words were brought back to mind as Maura watched Aqua practically decapitate Giga. The uneasiness she was feeling grew. How long can Aqua stay like this before she's unable to turn back into herself?
Maura kicked the winds around Giga back up to high speed when he launched the spikes, hoping to blow them all off course so that they'd land harmlessly in the ground or harbor waters.
To Jake, Trevor, and Aqua, she said, "I think we need to crack open his shell! Ground yourselves!"
The winds around Giga picked up, growing stronger and stronger, until Giga's shell started to lift off the ground. Maura began creating a small cyclone to attempt to lift Giga up, up, up into the air. Nearby trees started to lean into the growing tornado, loose debris, leaves, sticks, etc. began getting sucked up into the funnel as well. Maura attempted to pick Giga up higher and higher, as high as she was able to, before calling out to her friends: "Let's give him a spiky landing!" Before killing the winds and dropping Giga to the earth.
She hoped she had gotten him high enough, and that Trevor (and maybe also Aqua) had been able to form sharp spikes or something for him to land on, so that his shell might crack.

The skill difference between Gaia and Magmore was growing more clear by the moment. While Magmore might have had power to compete with Trevor, since the power gap was less there so the skill gap wasn't as bad. He counted on his power to be to complex for them to stop, but here was just an earth human rendering what he thought was something insanely powerful nearly useless. Magmore was very rattled. This is...what is this guy? We had no information on such a powerful agent.... Magmore was trying to build magma under them both, as threw up a wall of it to try and stop the spikes. Though since Gaia's spikes had 'just' been hardened by the magma, it seemed that they would get through, as one clipped his arm, as he yelled out. Magmore clearly was not properly combat trained, as he was lacking the energy to dodge the attacks properly. The magma wall dropped as soon ad Magmore was hit, also showing his lack of focus to keep it maintained. Magmore's skin was looking like it was bubbling now, which it was not before. He couldn't sweat, but he was now beginning to actually feel the heat from his own body. He figured this might have been what happened to Electrode, and Magmore's chemicals were just improved versions. Not perfected. Magmore went down to one knee. Damn it, I need to think of something...I need time... He had no other injections on him, so he had no way to postpone the pain. "So...you all just bring these destroyers with you?...What will protect us from you then?...When you decide you're done protecting us 'ungrateful' humans?...We lay down and die?...Surely even you must understand where this human comes from where the logic of removing all power is far safer...then hoping what is good one day wont be evil the next..." Magmore's breathing was getting heavy, as he didn't seem to be preparing any kind of counter attack.

Gaia raised an eyebrow. "You wouldn't need protecting from me if you weren't trying to destroy us in the first place. Do you really think we would just lay down and die because you said so?" Gaia said, not mincing his words and giving Magmore his own words right back at him. "Do you truly not understand basic human self-preservation, when you are trying to argue for it? No. You're just a pathetic speciesist; you think you're more important than anything else that has sentience." Gaia shook his head. "I have a wake-up call for you. You're not. And... neither am I." Sand began to come from the ground and wrap around Magmore's legs -- assuming he didn't get rid of quickly. "You'll find that normal humans are just as capable of "evil" as anyone else. Otherwise, why do you have jails and courts...?"

Aqua had no trouble blasting the spikes out of the air using high powered water blasts, as everyones defensive efforts stopped Giga's attack. Aqua caught wind [No pun intended lol] of Maura's plan of attack, and Giga already spinning didn't notice at first he lifted off. He began to fall into Trevor and Aqua's spike trap of stone and ice, but Aqua wanted to be sure Giga wasn't dodging. Giga did figure out he was in the air, and popped out to attack, but suddenly he noticed from the ocean, a giant wave, over 50 feet tall was looming over them. Giga looked shocked. āOh shitā¦ā Then Aqua sent the force of the entire wave on Giga, crushing him into the ground. She has perfect control of the wave, and focused it entirely on the one spot Giga landed. Which was the spikes. Giga's entire body was impaled by the spikes, and with the force of the water combined by the fall, cracking his shell open was easy. His shell was starting to attempt to repair itself, but his core was beginning to get overtaxed, making it slow.
Aqua was on the outside of the water suddenly, as her voice could be heard in the water. "I'm bored Giga...You're boring me...Making you suffer isn't fun. I don't see what you get out it. Let's wrap this up." The wave finally stopped, but tendrils of gel shot into the sides of Giga, and covered his arms. Giga tried to use void at this point, but even though the void was voiding the gel, there was constant stream of it, so it contained his arms. Then he was hoisted into the air, as gel tendrils also engulfed his legs. Giga opened his mouth, charging void in it, when a tendril engulfed his head. Now Aqua was in the air, as her body seemed to be still connected to the ground. She just got super tall being that sheās made of water now. She glared at Giga. "Im done with you..." Then from her back, five tendrils came out, but the ends morphed into saw blades made of super sharp ice. Then a sixth tendril formed, but this had a massive drill at the end. She stabbed the drill into Gigaās chest, and began to spin inside him. The pain stopped his void attacks. Then the saws came and began to cut through his neck and limbs. Gigaās yells could not be heard through the gel, as soon his limbs and head were cut off, and his body drilled through! His body, or what was left of it, fell to the ground. Gigaās body began to repair itself though, as his core was still intact, but entirely overworked, so the repair was very slow. But Aqua covered his body in water, then froze it solid. Aqua then sent this ice hunk into the air with water, then smashed it away with gel, sending it out to sea. Far out to sea. Aqua turned back to normal size, as she watched the Giga ice cube fly out of sight. "Fuckin bastard..."
--------------
Just a little more...keep talking... He thought as Gaia talked. Magmore started to laugh at this, as the sand started to grab his legs. "Do you expect me to beg for my life? When you so clearly fit the mold? Ha! How many powered mad man have appeared in the last five years alone? Dozens! All with the power to destroy or enslave everything! Maybe I am a speciesist when it applies to the best thing they can do for others is clean up messes of other madman." He laughed a little more. "How many of those World Savers have rogue before? The answer is more than once, and once is all it takes for that fragile protection to crumble to dust. Maybe a hero like yourself can't see the evil in yourself or friends, but humans are good at that. And what good are jails or courts to those they cannot contain? How many madman can be? They all get killed by your kind, and you function on a system of 'might is right' with them. Well...if that's the case..." Magmore's body was now beginning to overload, just like Electrodes, but he was actually hoping the same would happen to him. The output Electrode put out when he overloaded was unreal, and that was the plan. Magmore smirked. "THEN MY MIGHT IS RIGHT!" He yelled, as he focused all this massive magma energy discharge directly at Gaia! He hoped with his talking he'd get Gaia close enough and sure enough that he had won, and he'd let his guard down. Magmore wasn't going to have anything left to give after this point, but honestly if it worked he probably wouldn't need to worry about it. He'd recover and get outta there afterwards.

Jake watched (in horror) as Aqua dismembered Giga and basically sent him to a watery grave. Granted, he wasn't even sure if Giga was dead, and he wouldn't be able to track him now that he been blown kilometers from their current location. "Aqua!" he called out, sternly. "We should have captured him... or at least done a kill confirmation." Of course, he then whipped his head around as it suddenly donned on him that he made the same mistake just minutes prior. "Oh crap. Magmore. I didn't..." Jakes emotions suddenly went on a bit of a roller-coaster ride. He needed to confirm two deaths, and he needed to make sure that Aqua wasn't about to blow up Paris, and two of those things were now impossible! Composing himself, he turned to Aqua. "Hey. Sorry. Are you O.K...?"
"So basically, you admit that a Power has to exist, but only your personal group is allowed to have it. Typical tyranny." Gaia could tell that Magmore was trying to egg him on... Or maybe he was simply THAT delusional? Whatever the case, he had been silently collecting sand around Magmore, but now he was suddenly exploding like a bomb! Naturally, there would be some wasted energy due to the sand, but the majority of Magmore's body was not in sand, so Gaia knew that this was quite a lethal attack.
A predictable, lethal attack. Earthen materials that made up the underground tunnel dislodged themselves and flew around Gaia as he made himself a makeshift shield out of anything Earth-related that his Power could find in the vicinity. Magma immediately coated the dome around Gaia, basically making a slick, shiny black egg around Gaia. Could someone survive such an onslaught?

Magmore yelled as as the power discharged from his body, and he was instantly sweating from the heat and the body strain he was under, as he went to both knees and hands. "I'm only ok...because of the mutation...but no way a normal person could withstand that..." Magmore was breathing heavily. At this point his skin was back to it's white color, but flushed red from the strain and heat. His hair was also in it's normal state at this point. Magmore looked up to see the black egg, thinking he cooked Gaia alive inside. The only light in the room was the stone that glowed red from the scattered magma. The area was still very hot, but Magmore had no energy to move right now to leave.

Trevor was utterly in shock when Aqua just... threw Giga away like that!! He basically assumed now that Giga was going to just 'get away' because they hadn't actually destroyed his core! He let out a bit of an exasperated sigh, but tried to switch his focus now from Giga to the others, especially Aqua.
"Aqua. You look pretty freaking cool, dude!" He meant it, but he was also trying to keep the mood light and see if making Aqua laugh or have 'positive' thoughts would help her revert back to normal perhaps.

Crack.
Magmore may have been correct had this been under normal circumstances. It was never a wise idea to have Agents work alone for this very reason, simply because of strength in numbers. But there was also another reason why Kavisto wanted teams like this. Jake could control Fire, making him the perfect fire starter or fire rescue unit. Aqua could control Water, let her put out fires, or even moving through water with ease.
Crack!
Trevor could use control Earth, whether for demolishing buildings or building up defenses. Maura could use Wind, lowering temperatures, moving objects quickly, or even shifting the weather. They worked in tandum so that if they had an encounter, they could always play off one another and keep one another safe.
CRACK.
So why would Kavisto send a single Earth Human, one without any other Power support, to fight this maniac alone?
The egg shattered the next second as ethereal flames burst from every pore on Gaia's body. It was like looking at the surface of a bubble in sunlight. "I have to admit something to you. I am not really a traditional human... I haven't been modified in any way, but I am certainly not the same as everyone else. I aspire to be just like any other human, and I count myself as one...most of the time."
Gaia slowly walked up to Magmore, taking each step with purpose. "And talking to you here today? I suppose I shouldn't doubt myself; as I am definitely more human than you ever will be. If anything, you are less human than you were at the start of the day..." Reaching into his pocket, he took out an orb. He lightly tossed it at Magmore. It was a Capture Orb.

Aqua at first didn't respond. Almost like it took a while for their words to even reach her. She suddenly turned to Jake, since he spoke first. "Sorry, I...I don't know what I was thinking. I just...I just I couldn't stand looking at him anymore..." Aqua honestly couldn't sort her thoughts at all. The idea of him being no threat anymore or even worth killing crossed her mind, she wondered if she even had it in her to kill even Giga. Might have just been caught up in the moment and didn't realize they could have ended it. Aqua looked at Trevor and smirked. "Do I look that different? I can't see my reflection in the water to see." Jake spoke again, as she looked slightly nervous. "I'm...I'm something...I'm not sure if okay is what I'd describe it as, but I dont feel bad?" Aqua wasn't sure what was happening. Is Elemental power...Pure Human power?...I don't understand, but...it feels good... Aqua looked back out to sea. "Maybe I should go get him real-" But then she felt something weird in her head, as the symbol on her forehead faded away entirely, as she grabbed her head with her right hand. Suddenly, Aqua's aura formed a shell around her body, as it felt like energy was drawn in. Any water energy she was connected to was drawn in, and when the aura faded she was back to normal...Exactly back to normal. Her body was still in the same state it was when she transformed, only with no aura break happening. Her broken arm, burns, bruises,...every injury she had was still there. And suddenly changing back, ALL the pain hit her at once, as she went to her hands and knees in response. But forgetting her arm was broken, she had no control, and fell flat onto her face. Her powers were spent, and she had no energy to heal herself. Was she even still awake with all that pain hitting at once?
---------
Magmore glared at Gaia as he approached him, being entirely defenseless at this point. "People like you...are why we do this...No one being should ever have power like that...People like you are whats wrong with this world...This won't stop us..." At this point, he couldn't even move to even try to dodge the capture orb. "You'll all meet the same fate in the end...If you can bleed, you can die..." And with that, the Professor would be effortlessly sucked into the orb.

"Is he... dead?" Maura asked, looking a bit shocked out towards the water where Giga's dismembered & decapitated body had been sent sailing. She shuddered a little. She didn't pity Giga at all, but it was a little gruesome to see a dismemberment & decapitation happen right in front of you... thank god Giga didn't have blood, at least.
Before she got an answer though, the Power seemed to suddenly leave Aqua, and Maura's eyes widened in horror as the glow finally faded and Aqua finally appeared in her true, battered & beaten, human form. She sucked in a gasp, and reflexively shot out a gust of wind to help break Aqua's fall, and lower her more gently to the ground.
Maura flew over to Aqua and knelt by her side, feeling her forehead, feeling for her pulse, and trying to assess the extent of her injuries. She looked over at Trevor & Jake, clear concern & fear showing in her expression.
"We need to get her to the medical center, now! Trevor, can you use the earth to make a stretcher for her, and maybe create a makeshift cast around her arm? She needs to be as stable as possible while we move." Maura stood up to allow Trevor attend to Aqua, and fiddled with the pouch on her belt, retrieving a Portal gadget and activating it. She created a Portal that would open to inside (or as close as possible to) the medical facility at the base.
The situation with Magmore was just going to have to wait.
Maura ran in through the Portal ahead of Trevor to get the attention of the medical team. "Help! Aqua's been injured severely - her arm appears completely crushed, possibly other broken bones or internal bleeding! She tapped into Pure Elemental Power and exhausted herself!"

As Aqua transformed back, he just didn't expect her to transform back into a severely injured state, and he was taken aback for a split second!
Trevor was one step ahead of Maura, creating a stretcher of earth as she began saying it. Her idea for a cast was needed, though. "Right, good idea..." He created a cast for her carefully. "That ought to keep her arm from moving much for now.
He would help transport her through the Portal after Maura, and would help get her situated wherever they needed her to go as well.

A few medical personnel ran out to meet them as they came in via Portal, and things quickly started moving forward on their own. Someone was getting Aqua hooked up to monitors and wires, another was shouting orders, more people scrambling to prep an operating room.
An Earth Human trotted up alongside Trevor, pushing a gurney up to the Earth stretcher Trevor had created. He wore pale sage green scrubs that fit nicely over his broad shoulders, and he was similar in height to Trevor, give or take a few centimeters. Sandy blond-brown hair peaked out from his hair cap, and he had dazzling green eyes.
"Trevor, right? Great job getting her stabilized, this is a fantastic makeshift cast! Help me transfer her gently over to the gurney, will you? Oh, and we'll need her arm free in order to operate." The man's hand brushed against Trevor's as they worked together to transfer Aqua.
The man quickly started rushing Aqua back, but turned his head briefly to smile and wink back at them before disappearing. "She'll be just fine, seems like she was in great hands!" And then he was gone.
Maura raised her eyebrows up at the spot where he'd just been. "Damn," she muttered quietly to herself.

Trevor went to continue helping with Aqua, staying nearby. Then the Earth Human nurse came over. Trevor didn't look up at him at first, but as his hand brushed against his, he looked at him and instantly had to look away to catch his breath. Man, he was that fine! If Trevor had a preference or a 'type', that was it.
Finally clear-minded enough to respond, he nodded and started to get the cast off of Aqua's arm. "Y-yes. That's my name. And, gee, thanks, I mean, y'know, it's not that fancy..." He hoped to god he wasn't blushing too much. It wasn't too often he came across a guy this smoking hot, and though he only really has eyes for Jake... well, come on, a guy can still be mesmerized by beautiful things, can't he!? This was just down to simple, well... simple... he was hot okay, what more do you need!?
Trevor found himself shooting Maura a quick glance, wondering if she'd noticed his reaction or not. He didn't expect to see what he thought was his best friend being attracted to this nurse, too. Then again... duh, right!?

Aqua leaned up in her bed, seeing the nurse, and went "Damn!" Befor passing back out due to the pain.
Aqua was out cold since she nearly hit her head on the ground. Maura prevented a nasty blow to the head to top off Aqua's already many injuries. A lesser person might not have made it, heck a few years earlier and and she might not have, but Aqua refused to lay down and die. As the medical professionals did what they needed to do, the pain kept Aqua asleep. But it wasn't entirely peaceful.
She was dreaming, and her dream was still stress filled, possibly because she wasn't aware the threat was over, but possibly due to another reason. She 'woke up' in this dream in what seemed to be a large body of water, looking as deep as the sea, but when she stood up it was like ground as she barely has her feet sink into it. There wasn't much to see, maybewhat looked like mountains or islands very far in the background, but the sky was full of beautiful stars and a full moon. Their glow was what lit the area, but then Aqua felt a pressence behind her. Giga rose out of the water, as the sky on his half of the dream sky becamevery clowdy. Aqua looked serious, but inside she was scared. Giga narrowed his eyes at her. "Don't think this is over...Not by a long shot Aqua...I'll figure out how that power works and I'll be back...Until you lie dead at my feet, you'll never be free of me...Enjoy your break while you have it, because you will pay very dearly for the defeat you've given me..."
But before Giga could do much else, or Aqua, a bright blue light was coming from the other side of Aqua, aposing Giga's darkness. It was the light of the Elemental of Water, as Giga looked like he'd hiss. "Begone from this place creature of the darkness. You have no place here."
Giga glared at the Elemental. "You..." Giga chuckled, as his body began to melt into the water, and the clouds began to clear up. "Just remember what I said Aqua...You'll be looking over your shoulder until we meet again...I'm farfrom finished with you..."
Aqua then fully turned to the Elemental, at this time was now taking the form of a woman of maybe six feet tall, the dark blue rings spinning around her body. "That interloper will not bother us any further until you awake. You are safe here."
Aqua looked confused, but felt much more at ease. "I'm...I'm asleep then? This is a dream?"
The Elemental nodded. "Yes and no. You are asleep yes, but this isn't a simple dream. I am directly speaking with you through the connection we share, through your mind is creating this space itself for you to better understand whats happening."
Aqua looked a bit empty, not sure what emotions she was feeling right now. "I'm...What is it you wanted, I guess I should ask, great Elemental."
The Elemental gave a very gentle sounding laugh. "You need not address me in such a way. I do not require formalities from you. I simply wished to see you, and perhaps give you a peaceful rest from torment until you awaken. How are you feeling, my child?"
Aqua looked to the side, grabbing her left arm. Here, there was no pain in it. "I...Everything is..." And the longer Aqua tried to force words out, the more her emotions was catching up to her, as she went to her knees and began to cry. "Everything is just so much!...I can't handle all this myself, but I don't have any choice!" She put her hands on her knees at this point, still feeling overwhelmed. "I feel so alone ever since..." She trailed off, as even in a dream nothing made sense. The Elemental, directly connected to her dream, was able to understand her throughts and confusion. Both of them, however, did not know these 'memories' she was struggling with were from Giga. "I need to do this all on my own...Because if I can't...What happened today will happen again...Because I can't count on anyone to come in and save me anymore with him gone...I can't...I won't be a burden to others anymore...No matter what comes at me, I need to force through it...And it's so hard to keep going, to keep doing it over and over, when all I want to do is stop...But I can't..."

Jake savagely bludgeoned the male nurse for getting too close to Trevor.
Jake was glad that they were able to get Aqua back to the base in time. He would have never forgiven himself otherwise. "We need to give a report to Kavisto." The way-more-muscular Fire Human noted. He kinda looked after Aqua's general direction for a few moments before he turned around and headed for the door. "... Let's not keep him waiting.

The Elemental went down to it's knees at this point to be at the same height as Aqua. She placed her hand on Aqua's face, and gently moved Aqua's face to hers. The Elemental, at this closeness, could actually be seen with a face. It was not in realistic detail, but the lights that made up her body were of different shades to create the appearance of a face. It was weird. Maybe due to the nature of this dream space, but Aqua could feel the Elemental as if she was a real person. She was only made up of light, but it felt solid to her. She felt the Elementals warm but gentle touch on her face, as she looked her in the eyes, the Elemental wiping the tears away with her fingers. She started to speak again. "My child, you are not alone in this world, nor are you a burden to those who love and care for you. You do not need to carry your burdens alone."
"But...I do have too...I need to be able to do this...Even if they don't care, I still weight them down, or hold them back..." Aqua said, still having a hard time dealing being enough. No one else told her she wasn't it was actually the opposite, but her own self doubt clouded her.
"You sell yourself short, my child. Did you not witness the same show of strength I did through your eyes? You are so much stronger then you think. You hold no one back but yourself, because you believe you are not enough." The Elemental then put both her hands on Aqua's face, as it looked like she might cry as well. Possibly due to sharing emotions or their connection? "You hold tightly onto so much more pain then you need, my child. Pain you may not fully be aware of, but I feel it. You are not alone, so you need not carry on as you are. There are those who care about you. Let them help shoulder the burden you cannot carry alone."
Aqua couldn't explain it, but the words the Elemental spoke cut deeply, almost like how it felt for a mother to speak to a child she deeply cared for. She couldn't remember the last time she was spoken to in such a way, and it kept her crying, though gently. "It's...it's not right...To put that on others...Everyone has their own pain, what makes mine different? I have no right to force that on anyone..." She closed her eyes, remembering something. Though who was to say it was real? "I...depended on others before...far too much...It made me weak...It made me a problem for others...And now, because of it...I'm alone...I can't stay the same weak self I was before, no matter how much I want to...I can't..."
The Elemental was now crying too, deeply connected with Aqua's pain. "Then...it is good that you are not, isn't it?"
Aqua was confused. "Huh?...W-what do you mean?..."
The Elemental laughed very gently again, as she wiped the tears from her own face. "You are no longer weak. This is fact. The power of Pure Humans are not so easily gained. With my blessing, this power will be there for you in dire times." She then put her hands on Aqua's shoulders. "No matter what happens. Even if the whole world stands against you, I will always be by your side. You are not alone. You do not need to walk your path alone. Please, my child, do not forget this."
Aqua was taking all this in, though still struggling to believe all of it. While this was all things that she needed to hear, and even things she'd already been told by others who care, she still had trouble convincing herself. Maybe time would fix that. Aqua then started speaking after the Elemental took her hands away. "Why...do you care so much about me, Elemental? I'm just a simple water human girl. Surely there are others more deserving of your blessing than me."
The Elemental gently smiled. "Because you are my chosen."
"But why? I've never been strong or important to anyone before I got involved with the World Savers. Your gifts are wasted on someone like me. Our tribe had many warriors, and many skilled, like my sister. So why did you pick me for this?" Aqua questioned, feeling very confused.
"While our people have many talented users of water, and some have a form of my blessing, I did not choose you for such a reason. I chose you, my child, because of your heart." The Elemental explained.
"Wait...what?" Aqua was growing more confused.
"Since the first time I saw you, I saw a heart filled with such kindness and compassion. You care deeply for others. You have a strong drive for what is right, which is why you fight on the side you do. You fight for others, no matter how much you'd rather there be no need for it. It's why you are always helping your friends in the World Savers or your 'agency'. Not for a love of battle, but to do what you feel is right. To help others. From the very moment I laid eyes on you, I could see it all. That's why you are my chosen." She went to move Aqua's hair out of her face, as Aqua looked like she was having trouble handing such praise. "And as I watch you, I feel nothing but pride for the woman you've become, and the women you will be."
Aqua looked to the side, not sure how to handle such comments. "I...don't deserve such kind words, Elemental. I'm not some perfect person...I hate too...And some of them don't even deserve it...I'm not that same little girl I used to be..." She had tears go down her face again. "I want to be...I really do...But everything that happens keeps ripping it away from me..."
The Elemental shook her head. "No, my child. It's for that very reason I know that's who you are. Life will hurt us in many ways, and will make us question all the time...I am no different. But damaged or bruised, we are still ourselves inside. You are still you." At this point, Aqua was pulled into a unsuspecting hug by the Elemental. She was shocked at first, but quickly found a deep comfort in the embrace, as she hugged back and cried slightly, while her hair was stroked. "When you awake, do not forget this my child. Life is hard and confusing, but we are not alone. I have seen the friends you have, you are by no means alone. And remember that I will stand by you until the end."
"...I'll try to remember." Aqua was quiet for a while, until suddenly the Elemental let go.
"I will be departing shortly. You will awaken soon." The Elemental explained.
"Can...can we talk again? Maybe in person?" Aqua asked.
The Elemental smiled slightly. "In person, right now is difficult. Due to the weakening of elemental power from the one known as Ragoul, my powers have not been at full strength in order to remain unseen from him. Your sister no doubt explained when you and your friends Zoe and Kane visited me in the real world. Which was why I was limited in what I could say." The Elemental paused for a brief second. "But we can meet like this again, once my power has returned from today."
Aqua nodded. "I understand...Thank you for your help today...and for everything else too." She smiled weakly.
The Elemental smiled back. "You are most welcome, my child. Please, enjoy the remainder of your rest. We shall meet again, indeed." And with that, the light of the Elemental faded away, as Aqua slipped back into sleep soon after.
During this dream, if there was a report on her condition to be read later, the whole time Aqua slept the symbol of the Elemental was on her forehead. It remained until the Elemental left her dreams. Aqua would no doubt wake up in pain, but hopefully for now, she might feel better to some degree.

Maura glanced over at Trevor and realized he had been staring at the Hot Nurseā¢ too, so she elbowed him a little and smirked (but obviously didn't say anything because Jake was right there).
At Jake's words, Maura visibly drooped. "Oh.. right. Wish we got to wait to see how Aqua's going to be before we have to go talk to Kavisto though.." But she knew how Kavisto was.
-----
Some time in the next couple days...
Maura had just gotten a mug of coffee from the break room, and made her way to the office area where she knew Trevor would be filling out his paperwork - she'd brought her work with her to do also. She first made sure Trevor was alone in the office, then knocked lightly on the door (or doorframe, if Trevor had it open) and walked in without waiting for a response.
"Morning Trev~" she sing-sang, "wanna work buddy? I swear I cannot get through this paperwork without coffee and company today."
Maura got her work set up opposite him at the desk, and made sure Jake wasn't about to walk by, then closed the door.
"So," she started conspiratorially, "how are things going with Jake??"

Suddenly, Trevor was elbowed and pulled out of his thoughts. When he saw it was Maura and also saw her facial expression that said 'yyyyyyup, I saw him too', he donned a smirk to mirror hers and couldn't help but think telepathically to her, see, this is why we're best friends.
"Damn, yeah. Let's not. Being late would make things harder than they're already going to be." Trevor was already anticipating the questions and "why didn't you"s that would surely be coming their way for this one.
-------
***So apparently the time-frame of this conversation is almost two years after Jake and Trevor's first date. This also happens to be about one year into them being officially a couple***
The door had been left open. Trevor really wasn't very secretive in nature. He very briefly turned his head to glance at Maura as she walked over to sit with him, though he hadn't actually needed to. He smiled, and then she went to close the door and he smirked, rolling his eyes a bit, having a clue now at what topic was about to come up.
With that, Trevor was now officially in 'gossip mode' and his pen hit the table as he fled from 'work mode' and his eyes lit up. "Maauurrraaaaa! I swear to god he tried to kill me yesterday! He's got this insane notion that he can 'teach me how to swim'. His words." Trevor's eyes were bulging, till he shook his head and tried to calm his mind a bit. "I mean, sure... I agreed to finally try it out after the 80th time he asked me to... for him. Only cause it's him. But good lord... I think I almost drowned 5 times. My heart was going to explode from the fear!" Trevor's anxiety was rising just thinking back on it now. His eyes seemed a bit glazed over again.

The three of them made their way to Kavisto's office. Jake had an unusual since of dread this time around, probably due to the fact that they didn't really accomplish much.
And of course one of their ranks was critically injured.
One of the other agents then stopped them. "Oh. Hey. The general is in the debriefing room."
Jake nodded his head. That made sense. He was probably about to call for them since they got back. "Alright. Thanks." He redirected everyone down a different hallway, and soon enough they were face to face with Kavisto.
"Sit." Kavisto said.
