Zoe would hear the loud bang behind her and a deep rumble reverberated through the house. Wood planks and splinters as well as pieces of rocks would shoot out from behind Zoe, settling on the floor and some possibly hammering her back leaving a few cuts on her back from their impact. The mental message shot through Zoe's mind almost immediately.
Zoe are you all right? called Ponic telepathically to her.

Zoe had taken quite a beating, but she was mainly okay. She groaned as she struggled a bit to pick herself up from the floor. She moved her wings just an inch and winced in pain. Probably best to change back to her human form for now so her wings could heal in peace. She did so and then responded to Ponic's message. I think so. Where are you guys?

We're still downstairs fighting off Mintrock's men. He has a lot of supporters and there are more coming from around the area...we need to hurry. Have you found anything of Keera's parents or their writings upstairs? Even though he was speaking telepathically, Zoe might be able to mentally hear that Ponic's cool never flinch attitude was slightly wavered. It's not that this situation was particularly dangerous compared to others but it was uneven. Ponic and Keera had no real desire to fight their own kind, which meant that they were at a disadvantage.

Zoe was reminded by Ponic what her real goal was. Errr... not yet... She didn't want to further worry Ponic so she turned to try to get back upstairs into the ruins that were just made. Maybe she could still find something important up there...

Be careful, Zoe, came Keera's telepathic voice. We might have to call it quits if things get too hairy here.
When Zoe walked back up she would find that many of the baseboards had been ripped out and destroyed by the explosion. The doors were wrecked and there was much debris all over, including one mangled up Shadow Warrior corpse in the middle of the hallway. The walls, for the most part, were relatively intact because they were made of concrete and stone. Zoe's best chance was likely to explore the end of the hallway room that the Shadow Warrior had been guarding...maybe here were answers in there? Unfortunately, it looked to be in the least good shape as it was so near the explosion.

Zoe sighed. "Gotta do it..." She told herself and she made an Ice Disk for herself to stand on. She crouched on it so as to be able to fit around all the debris and carefully made her way to that back hallway room entrance...

As soon as Zoe walked in another Warrior popped up and stabbed her...HA I LIED! And then everyone in the Shadow Realm...WAS KILLED!!!!
The door and outer frame were blown right off and there was possibly more debris in the room than in the hallway. There were torn up scrolls on the ground and wrecked books littered all over the place. All of the books contained knowledge of the Shadow Realm and were written by a variety of writers and scholars from throughout history. Some of the scrolls, what was left of them, looked not to be historical but factual or of Shadow Realm folklore. The entire room appeared to be some form of a library of, knowing Mintrock, stolen knowledge.
Keera's voice would go through Zoe's mind again. Zoe, if you find anything it will be labelled by my maiden name, Moinish. The name translated to 'Light of the Moon'. Keera would also send a mental image of how to spell her name in the language of Shadow Wielders as any scrolls or books would obviously not be written in any known earthly letters.

Zoe got the mental image. Got it! Zoe responded, scanning the ruins of the room and all of the books and scrolls lying about. Eventually, she found something with Keera's maiden name on it! She picked it up to inspect it further.

The book that Zoe found would be written in the language of Shadow Wielders, and so she'd be unlikely to understand it. Zoe now had the choice she could either head back outside and let them know that she found something or she could keep looking in the wrecked room...

Zoe decided to keep looking for a few more minutes. Would she find anything else relevant?

As Zoe looked around she would find a few more books and scrolls. They were all written in the language of Shadow Wielders and thus she would be unlikely able to understand it as many of the words had no direct translation. A few of the books, however, did mention Keera's maiden name again, meaning they either referenced her parents or were written by them.
The telepathic message then came shooting into Zoe's mind. Zoe, there are more coming, the area is breaking out in a riot. Have you found anything? asked Ponic.

Zoe hastily picked up any of the books or scrolls that looked like they'd be helpful and as she heard Ponic's message. Yes! I'm coming down now! she said back, turning and flying out of the room and down the hallway and back down the stairs, going to find Ponic and Keera.

Zoe would not have gotten far, however as her shadow suddenly opened and pulled her in. It would teleport her out of the area to a secluded part of town, near where Ponic, Keera and Markov used to live as it was on the outskirts of the village. Ponic and Keera appeared there also. First thing Ponic did was begin to look around and send out his shadow sense to see if there were any Irates around.
"Are you OK?" asked Keera to Zoe. Both she and Ponic looked like they had been through a battle, but nothing too terrible. Just some torn clothes and bruises, but they had been through worse.
Ponic returned to them after a bit. "I don't sense any Irates around here. So what did you find?" he asked Zoe.

Zoe was surprised by the sudden movement. Then she handed Ponic the stuff she'd grabbed. "Glad you're okay."

"Likewise," said Ponic looking at the book. "Anything good?" asked Keera. Ponic looked at the book for a moment and cocked his head slightly. "I'm inclined to say yes, but we'll have to study it more." He closed the book and smiled at Zoe.
"We couldn't have done this without you, Zoe, thank you."
Keera gave Zoe a hug. "Thank you for your help. Ponic and I will stay here to look it over a bit more, we can send you back home now, if you'd like."

Zoe was still breathing heavy while she mustered a smile. "Oh no problem guys. Any time!" She chuckled. "Risking my life for my friends is kind of a hobby at this point."

Keera laughed, "Indeed," she said knowing the truth in that statement. Ponic then opened a shadow for Zoe that would send her back to the cabin. "Be safe, Zoe, say hi to everyone for us, let them know we'll be back when we are able. Oh and make sure Markov doesn't get into too much trouble." Ponic said that last part with a wry smile, clearly he was expecting Zoe to make more trouble with Markov.

Zoe chuckled. "I will! I'll give Markov a kiss for you, Ponic." She winked with a laugh as she stepped into the shadow.

"Ya, he'd love that," chuckled Ponic. The shadow would then transport Zoe away and back to the cabin. Ponic then gestured to Keera. "Come on, let's go and look over these documents."
"Do you think we'll be a pay off?" she asked.
Ponic shrugged, "I don't know. The sooner that we have everything we need from this realm, the sooner we can leave."
