There it was in front of him. Groaning, he looked at it again, hoping he had seen it wrong. No...It still read...January 1st, 1470...His 100th birthday.
Felix Pantech was not any normal human. He still looked as though he were in his middle twenties. His hair was a dark brown, almost black, and his eyes were the same shade. He was the kind of guy who wore the same colors, black and white, everyday.
Felix loathed this day due to the fact that he knew that his existence was getting longer...and more boring than ever. Even though he was a lucky resident of the Prime Universe, which is the Universe that was created before the rest, he still found that with all of the technology and things he could do, he was still bored due to the fact that he had lived 100 years and had done everything. He also had no family and lived alone. It had been that way for 80 years now...
Felix sat at the table and brooded over the day. He didn't feel like moving from the spot. Waving his right hand, he levitated the cereal bowl he had used for breakfast over to the sink, where the sink cleaned the bowl. That was another thing about Felix. He had a slew of powers at his disposal which seemed to be the only thing that keep him dying of boredom...
Felix heard a knock issuing from the front door to his apartment. Groaning, he reluctantly arose from his chair and looked at the screen to the right of the door. He sighed. The person visiting him was none other than the only person who ever spoke to him, Faios. He admitted her in and gave a weak smile. Faios had pale grey eyes; Her parents named her Faios since that is the Greek word for grey. Today she was wearing a white skirt and blouse with a yellow neckerchief. Her long brown hair was in waves and fell to her shoulders. Smiling, she entered and led Felix into his living room, where they sat on a sofa. All of Felix's rooms were painted white, and had either black, white, or grey furniture. "Having a good day?" She teased him. Felix gave a fake, evil glare at her. "Oh yes...It has to be the best day of my life actually." Rolling his eyes and crossing his arms, his gaze fell to the floor. Faios chuckled and handed him a wrapped box. "Only open it when it's the time you were born."
Felix rolled his eyes. Restraints on presents... Now he had to wait for six o'clock in the afternoon to open it. He put it to the side. It really did not look good in this room because it was the only thing that was not the three colors mentioned before, but red. Felix arose with Faios. "I have a surprise for you." She said cheerfully. "Come, we're going out now." She seemingly dragged him out of his apartment. He groaned. "But I don't like going out..." That was probably because no one else really liked him. Felix was 100...but looked twenty-five or so. Everyone else thought he was either a demon, or some experimental result...He was not popular. Felix got into Faios's car on the passenger side and Faios began driving. "Where?"
She typed the coordinates into the computer. "It's a secret." She grinned. A few minutes passed. "Couldn't we have just teleported? It would make things go quicker." Felix said. "Oh hush...Driving will become a lost art if we rely on teleporters so much." "But it's so slow..." He moaned. "Couldn't you speed up a little? The speed limit does say eighty...so you could go ninety..." Faios then grinned. "No thanks...I'm just going to go as slow as I can..." Felix then groaned once again. Today just wasn't his day...
They arrived to a temple that was to the Quad Powers of Dawn, Dusk, Twilight, and Phantom. "Why here?" Felix inquired. He had come here quite often whenever he did get out. "Easy," She started, "I know you like coming here so I'd like to be celebrating with you here, where I know you'll be happy." She smiled. Felix hinted a slight smile. "You're very thoughtful..." Felix walked in with Faios. The four alters were in the back, in a circle, and had the phases of the moon them: Full on Dawn, New on Dusk, 1st on Twilight, and Last on Phantom. "Why do you like it here?" Faios inquired. Felix sat on the Twilight alter. "I feel at ease here. The book here taught me most of my powers...It's as though this place was built for me."
Faios noted a large tome in the center. It hadn't been taken by anyone...since everyone avoided this place. "There's also an aura in the air...That is like dad..." Felix said, solemnly. Faios smiled. "Perhaps there's a part of him watching over you. I may never have known him, but he must love you so much as to leave a part of himself behind for you." Felix smiled. "...Thank you Fai...You have done so much for me for the year I have known you." Getting up from the alter, he hugged Faios, softly. Faios smiled "It's because I...well..." He smiled, over her shoulder. "Say no more...I love you too."

The wedding happened in a few weeks time. Felix and Faios tied the knot and began their lives together. Faios, being the daughter of a swordsman, gave Felix lessons in swordplay. Felix had not been the best at first, but months of practice, combined with his powers, put him at a Master's level. Faios was amazed at Felix's skills and mentioned to him about traveling. "Felix...That tome you read...Can you move through Universes?" Felix nodded. "...Yes. It was the last thing I learned how to do from the tome." She smiled. "Let's go somewhere! There must be an infinite amount of places to go!" Felix grinned. "Alright! It sounds fun. I've been here in this Universe far too long."
Now this story seems fine and dandy and would be lovely if it just ended here with a “happily ever after”. This is not the case, sadly. Perhaps I should start with the beginning?
Felix Pantech was not a proper human. Felix was born from two Dimension Gems: the Light and Darkness Gems. These two gems never found a guardian. They lost hope and became impatient. Finally, they took on human forms. Their names were Aduro and Acerbus, respectively. They began traveling together and found that they did not want to part company. Aduro and Acerbus decided to fuse together, and to look for the other six Dimension Gems. They fused into what you know as Felix Pantech. The gems looked long and hard, but never found any of their brethren. That is why Felix settled down.
