Chapter One - Here We Go Again...
Felix flicked on the lights. "Yamiken! Speak of the devil." Felix chuckled, receiving no laugh in return from Peter. No, Peter was clenching his fists, with his white irises boring into Yamiken's eyes. Felix finally noticed this tension and quieted himself, seeing as he'd just be rambling to continue. Instead, he moved out of the way of the two and sat down on one of his couches. Yamiken scanned Peter over; his attention had been torn from Felix on sight of Peter.
"Hattori Hanzo." Yamiken drawled, with a hint of curiousity in his tone. "How fairs your new body?" Even in seeing Peter's fist clenching, Yamiken stayed cool and had not moved. "Seeing that you carelessly lost your old one to that..." His face showed annoyance. "...pest of a Shadow Wielder and his cohort." Felix couldn't help but to give a small grin. Peter, on the other hand, was having a hard time suppressing his anger which burned for Yamiken. In his past life, he had promised himself that he would kill Yamiken that first chance that came his way. But did this now apply to this life? He debated whether he should pardon Yamiken and start over, or slit his throat the next time the two were alone...or he could do it now...
"Yamiken-sama." Peter started out, quietly. But Peter decided on another tactic. "Oh this one is remarkably better." Peter loosened his grip and sat down in a single-seating sofa. He was not going to let his second life be ruined by the jeering of a snide warlord whose expiration was long overdue. "Why. I must be three times as strong as I used to be. It is amazing what a fourth of a Sol Core will so for you." Yamiken snorted and was about to reply, probably with a decisive counter, but Felix interrupted; he had heard enough.
"Alright you two, save it for later." He was met with two glares... Well, Yamiken's was simply a look of slight annoyance. Well excuse me if I ever try to break up something that could have turned deadly again. Excuse me if they're misbehaving in my house. "Now Yamiken, just why are you in my house?" Now that was a very good question, or so Peter was thinking after his face returned to its emotionless state. "I'm sure you have quite a good reason. Though that does make me wonder why Draco hasn't run you out. Say...Where is Draco?"
"Your assistant decided that he needed to go somewhere, so he put me in charge while he is away." Yamiken said in a bored tone. "To why I'm residing here to begin with, I sojourn here every once in awhile to see if you will ever return. Unfortunately, my arrival was used as a convenience for someone else."
"How very noble of you to agree to look after my house." Felix stated, as he crossed his arms. "I hope you haven't been waiting too long." Again, he stated. Though he was expecting an answer, so it might as well been a question.
Yamiken gazed briefly at the grandfather clock in the corner room. "I believe it has been about an hour since he left." He frowned in annoyance. But as he sighed, the front door open and closed, admitting a young human, oddly enough, with purple hair. He wore black and had hands which had yellow on them, which moved around like water.
Draco stared at Felix in disbelief. "Omni!" he more or less shouted. In a flash, Felix was on his feet and crushed into a hug with Draco. Felix laughed and grinned. "I thought you were gone for good." he admitted. After letting him go, he sat himself down on the same sofa as Yamiken. "Oh yes. Thank for holding down the fort while I was gone." He thanked Yamiken, receiving only a nod. With that out of the way, he went straight to questioning. "How did you get out of the Universal Nexus? What of Krystallos? And most importantly, who is that?" he pointed to Peter.
Felix sat back down and adjusted his too-long sleeves. "I think I might just be able to answer all questions at once." he cleared his throat. "This is Peter Pantech, whom you also may know as Hattori Hanzo. He and three others, Zestos, Zach's grandson, Katie, Halo's granddaughter, and Cerulean, Aqua's granddaughter, teamed up and ultimately defeated me in my Crystal Demon form. That said, Krystallos showed up in a rage. Skylos and Neon were freed along with me, and revived me and handed out the Dimension Jewels to those who could use them effectively. After Krystallos was neutralized, Maximilian, the Ex-Sol Demon, arrived and absorbed all demon power into him, since he created it to begin with. All Twenty-four demons are now in the Upper Realm. Does that help you any?" He gave a grin and wondered if Draco could have possibly downed all of that information at one time.
The fact was, Yamiken had wanted to ask as well, but had been distracted by Hanzo's arriving. Now that he had heard the condensed version of what had happened, he wondered what became of the Dimension Jewels. Obviously, the white and black ones were sitting to his left and talking, but what of the others? They would be most helpful in his current search... Voice interrupted his thoughts. He scowled.
Draco had been absorbing the information that Felix had provided. "Wow. All I can say is, wow." He looked at Peter and did find that his eyes were amazingly just like the cold stares of Hanzo, even though Peter was not even glaring at the moment. Perhaps he had glared so much in his past life that they had stuck in that position in this one. He chuckled to himself, getting himself a quizzical glance from Peter. Even Peter didn't need to remember that no one laughed at him... and got away with it. Peter mentally added to himself. But Peter knew that killing Draco would not make him happy. Draco quickly asked Felix. "What now, then?"
Felix scratched his chin. "Peter and I are going to go get rid of the rest of the Crystal Demons--" "WHAT?" Peter snapped and looked incredulously at Felix. Omni continued without stopping. "Since Krystallos is dead, we can easily go in. The hard part will be defeating such a large amount."
Peter couldn't believe his ears. He'd done what Felix wanted, and here he was being pulled into something else. Apparently, his opinion didn't even matter. Yes...Even after eighty years, he was still just a tool for Felix to use whenever he pleased. Even now that he was family, and that didn't matter. Peter shot an icy glare at anyone who tried to look at him.
Felix rolled his eyes. "Honestly, Hanzo." He over pronounced the name. "I promised you your freedom once I was completely done with you. I assure you that this is the last thing you need to do for me. Actually, it's still technically apart of the 'help me kill the Crystal Demon' job I assigned to begin with. I just hadn't mentioned this part to anyone." Felix said this in a business-like tone; It was like a certain Dark Human's tone. Perhaps he had rubbed off a bit on him?
Speaking of that Dark Human, Yamiken was idle, watching Hanzo's anger rise. Breaking it up before it got heated was out of the question. The fight didn't even include him, so he saw no need to intervene. If Felix wanted to anger Hanzo, then it was his funeral. "When will you be departing, then?" He would be sure to step out before they left, less he was obligated to look after the place for who knows how long.
"Tomorrow. And you're welcome to come, of course." Felix smiled warmly to his friend. "Draco too. I can put the Dimension Lock in place now that I'm back." He said, almost as if he guessed Yamiken's reason for asking. "Actually, I could really use the help. Who's with me?"
Draco raised his hand, happy to just get out of the house. Yamiken figured he could use a break himself. Plus, who knows what useful things could be in the Crystal Demon realm?
